THAILAND DIGITAL REGISTRATION
Thailand Business Registration Online: How to Use DBD Biz Regist
A state-by-state operating guide to preparing, signing, paying, correcting, and closing a Thai digital filing.
Use the Department of Business Development’s current DBD Biz Regist portal to form a Thai company limited or registered partnership online. For new formations, online-only filing has applied since July 1, 2026 . The practical sequence is prepare the legal data, create the application, submit it for registrar review, resolve any correction, collect every required electronic signature, pay through the generated channel, then download and verify the resulting records.
A submitted application is not a registered entity, and a payment attempt is not a registration result. Preserve evidence at each gate instead of treating the portal as one continuous “done” screen.
Key takeaways
-
Start on
edbr.dbd.go.th; older e-Registration instructions can describe a different channel or sequence. - Use an individual-user route for formation work and confirm each participant’s identity and signing method before submission.
- Registrar review precedes signing and payment in the official DBD sequence; a return for correction is not a rejection or an approval.
- The live payment module offers Thai QR Payment or a downloadable bank-payment slip and can add requested certificates or certified copies.
- Close the file only when the registered details and downloadable outputs match the approved application.

What DBD Biz Regist does in 2026
DBD Biz Regist is the DBD’s digital juristic-person registration system. It supports formation, registered changes, dissolution, and completion of liquidation for companies limited and registered partnerships. The DBD’s June 30, 2026 notice confirms that from July 1, 2026, new company-limited and partnership formations are provided through the online channel only, ending paper walk-in receipt for that stated formation scope.
That change does not turn every Thai business task into the same workflow. Public limited company registration, a natural person’s commercial registration, DBD e-Filing for financial statements and shareholder-list submissions, tax registration, foreign-business permission, and sector licences remain separate systems or legal workstreams. The underlying entity design should therefore be settled against accurate Thailand company registration requirements before anyone starts clicking through the application.
Use the date change narrowly: it establishes the channel for new formations named by DBD. It does not prove that a proposed ownership arrangement is lawful, that an activity is open to foreign participation, or that the company may start a regulated business immediately after registration.
Confirm the correct digital filing route
Check the entity, ownership, activity, and responsible filer before building an application in the portal.
Choose the account and prepare the filing inputs
On the current DBD Biz Regist sign-in page , formation work sits on the individual-user side . It states that an individual user may file registration applications, sign, pay fees, and download receipts and registration documents. A separate juristic-person login is described for specified no-fee corrections or notifications for an existing entity; it is not the ordinary starting account for incorporating a new company.
The live interface accepts a username or Thai identification number with a password and also displays Digital ID entry through ThaID, DBD e-Service, and Paotang. The official member manual separately supports Thai nationals and people of other nationalities; the latter route records the selected identification type, nationality, passport or other identification number, expiry date, birth date, names, contact details, and address. Confirm the exact route that each real participant can complete—never substitute one person’s identity credentials for another’s.
Before creating the draft, settle the proposed name, seal choice, registered capital and shares, registered office and contact data, promoters, shareholders and allocations, directors and signing authority, objectives, business descriptions, articles if used, statutory-meeting data, auditor information, applicant directors, and required attachments. The system’s company manual shows these as distinct input groups; the exact attachment list changes with the facts displayed in the application.
For a company limited, reconcile those portal entries with the legal evidence described in the published Thai private-company filing requirements . Fix contradictions before submission—particularly Thai and English names, share totals, director powers, addresses, identity data, and the business objectives that drive foreign-ownership or licensing analysis.
Run the submission, signature, and payment sequence
- Build and validate the draft. Choose the correct formation transaction—such as memorandum and company formation together, or formation only where the memorandum is already registered—complete the data groups, attach the files requested on screen, review the generated documents, tick the confirmation that they are complete and accurate, and then use the submission control.
- Wait for registrar review. DBD’s published process says the registrar checks a completed application before it advances to electronic signature. If the registrar identifies a defect, work from the notice attached to that filing, revise the affected data or attachment, regenerate any changed document, and resubmit. Do not ask participants to sign an obsolete PDF saved before the correction.
- Collect signatures on the reviewed version. The current DBD manual library lists DBD e-Service/Smart DBD, ThaID, NDID, and username/password/OTP methods in its online-filing signature guide. A participant follows the signing link, enters the requested Thai ID or passport number and birth date, reads the registration documents, confirms they have been read, and chooses an available signature method. The portal may show only methods eligible for that person or transaction.
- Confirm every signature. The submitter’s signature is not a substitute for promoters, directors, partners, or other people whom the application identifies as required signers. Every required signer must finish before treating the signature gate as passed.
- Pay the system-generated amount. The payment guide first asks whether to request a certificate or certified registration copies, then shows the fee summary. It supports immediate registration or selection of a future registration date, followed by Thai QR Payment or payment through a bank using a downloaded payment slip. Save the payment reference and verify that the portal records settlement; generating a QR code or slip is not itself payment.
There is a small but important interface boundary. Paotang appears on the live sign-in screen as a Digital ID route, while the currently posted online-signature manual enumerates the four methods above. Use the option actually offered in the live transaction and keep a screenshot or reference only as working evidence; do not promise a participant that a particular identity method will appear before the portal confirms it.
Track status, evidence, and recovery
The English state names below are a filing-control model, not a claim that every DBD dashboard uses these exact English labels. Match the Thai status and transaction history shown in your account to the evidence in the middle column. When those disagree, preserve the application reference and contact the DBD Biz Regist Support Center shown on the portal rather than creating a duplicate application.
| Control state | Evidence to retain | Recovery if stalled |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Draft reference and latest generated documents | Reconcile fields, attachments, and signers before submitting |
| Submitted | Submission reference and timestamp | Check the same application history; do not recreate it merely because review is pending |
| Under review | Current portal status and any registrar message | Wait for the registrar outcome; monitor the registered email and account |
| Correction required | Registrar’s defect note and revised files | Correct only the live application, regenerate affected documents, and resubmit |
| Cleared to sign | Reviewed document set and signer list | Resend the official signing path; verify identity data if a signer cannot enter |
| Signed | Completion for every required signatory | Identify the outstanding person; do not proceed from one signer’s confirmation |
| Payment settled | Payment confirmation and downloadable receipt | Check settlement before retrying; use the payment reference for support |
| Registered and downloaded | Registration result, registration certificate, receipt, and any ordered certificate or certified copy | Compare all recorded particulars; file a proper change if an approved record is wrong |
After registration, do not overwrite the evidence pack with later working copies. Keep the approved PDFs, receipt, application reference, signature evidence available in the account, and a short comparison of the registered name, juristic-person number, address, directors, signing authority, objectives, capital, and shareholders. A defect found after registration normally requires the correct registered-change process; it is no longer a pre-approval correction.
Resolve a stalled filing without losing evidence
Map the current status, missing proof, responsible person, and recovery action before submitting a replacement.
Apply the DBD Biz Regist completion test
Treat the platform task as complete only when you have registration evidence, not the fee receipt , and the registered particulars agree with the approved documents. The DBD login page identifies downloadable receipts, certificates or certified copies, and the registration certificate among its outputs; what is available depends on the filing and the document services selected during payment.
Stop and escalate the file if a participant cannot verify identity, the live signer list conflicts with the intended authority, the registrar correction changes ownership or objectives, payment settlement cannot be matched, or the registered record differs from the approved application. These are evidence failures, not reasons to guess a field or create a duplicate submission.
Finally, separate incorporation from operational readiness. Tax and VAT configuration, DBD e-Filing access, accounting and audit setup, employer and employee registrations, bank KYC, foreign-business permission, sector licences, and work authorization remain distinct completion tests. Schedule commercial activity against the last applicable approval, not merely the date the DBD file became downloadable.
Close the registration file with verified outputs
Confirm the registered data, evidence pack, and separate post-registration workstreams before operations begin.
